tomorrow’s needs

Internship Software Engineering

At Vention, we build embedded products that make a real impact. But we don’t stop at just building them—we also build the tools that test them. And when production scales, so should testing. That’s why we’ve created our own automated test platform powered by Python. Currently, this test system works… via a command-line

What you'll be doing

  • Create a slick, stable GUI for our existing Python-based testing system.
  • Dive into the world of embedded hardware, in-circuit tests and functional validation.
  • Collaborate with embedded engineers and production teams to understand real-world testing needs.
  • Translate technical backends into human-friendly interfaces—fast, clean and future-proof.

What you'll learn

  • How to build production-ready tools for real users.
  • Integrating GUIs (think: PyQt, Tkinter) with live Python backends.
  • The messy, beautiful reality of hardware/software co-development.
  • How to ship something meaningful in a fast-moving, no-nonsense tech company.

Who are we looking for

  • A student in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems or a related field.
  • Available for at least 4–5 months (starting September).
  • Not afraid of code, not afraid of asking questions, and certainly not afraid of building cool stuff.
  • Someone who gets excited by turning complexity into clarity.
  • Familiar with Python (GUI experience = bonus points, but not required).

Why Vention?

  • You’ll have freedom, real responsibilities, and the space to pitch ideas (and break things).
  • Our HQ is at High Tech Campus Eindhoven, surrounded by the best brains in the biz.
  • We offer lunch, unlimited vacation days, a good dose of organized chaos, and a team that actually enjoys being around each other.
  • Every month we host Teamochtenden, TEAMAVOND and other social events. Yes, it involves updates. Yes, it ends in drinks and great ideas.
